Finding the Right People

This is Your Ship, You Decide Who Gets to Come Along

Big Day Yesterday

NGBN went live yesterday!

Television streaming app is now available on Roku and FireTV.

Thank you everyone who took time yesterday to check out the live stream, download one of the apps and show your support.

It was felt.

If you’re not busy catch me tonight on Decades at 9:30p (YouTube link) (LinkedIn link) and also streaming on the NGBN TV app.

Mark your calendars!

This is a fun round table style show where a panel of people from different decades discuss topics and argue about their viewpoints.

I think you’ll enjoy it.

There are a lot of ways you can support on the website, you could share this with a friend, or you could simply just buy me a coffee.

As always thanks for being here, I appreciate you all.

Behind the Pillar

  • People

Relationships are the cornerstone to a great life.

Finding and surrounding yourself with great people can change everything.

Yesterday I realized just how lucky I am.

How many incredible people I have in my life.

People like those I’m working with at NGBN.

Who each bring incredible energy, skill, creativity, and joy to what they do.

People like old friends who I haven’t spoken to in years.

I spent a lot of time yesterday trying to push app downloads.

I sent out over 50 texts to friends and people I know.

I was amazed by the amount of people who immediately responded to my request.

The amount of positive messages I got throughout the day.

I hate asking for things.

It’s hands down my biggest weakness.

It’s hard to admit you need help.

But yesterday I needed help.

I wasn’t going to download the app by myself.

I needed you.

I’m so lucky to have so many incredible family, friends, followers, colleagues, and supporters.

I’m learning as I get older to lean on people when I need them.

They’re not going to buckle.

They’re not going to back away.

They’re not going to think I’m using them or a crutch.

They’re going to support.

They’re going to lift me up.

Nobody gets to the top of their mountain alone.

We must create a team.

I hope you consider me part of your team.

If you need support or help, let me know how I can serve you.

We can all win together.

Coaches Corner

  • Service

When it comes to building a team around you I believe the best place to start is service.

This has worked for me.

It’s why I believe that when I do reach out for help, people answer.

Because they know that if the role was reversed I’d be right there.

The other thing that happens when you become a person of service, you remove ego.

Helping others, serving others, isn’t about you.

It’s about them.

What you then find is that you feel good about life.

You also quickly realize who are the people you want on your team.

As a man of service to others you begin to find the people who are also people of service.

They take your energy and effort and return it to you.

By starting with service you reveal who people are.

This is ultimately important.

While I believe most people are good, the unfortunate truth is that some people aren’t.

We need to expose those people and remove them from your life.

When you give yourself to someone for a task or endeavor, the way they respond to you help says everything about who they are.

Do they show gratitude?

Do they offer to pay you (either with their time or money)?

Or do they act as if your efforts were expected?

This holds true to all kinds of situations; home, work, on a team.

Every opportunity is a chance to grow and develop your team.

The people who you want to take with you on your journey.

The people who will help you achieve the success you seek.

The people who you want to help in return.

Build your team.

Become a person of service.

Need a Coach?

As an athlete I always appreciated good coaching.

It often made the difference between a successful season and an average one.

When you’ve got big goal to compete at the highest level, it helps to have someone looking at the big picture, while you focus on the specific actions.

Have you got something big coming up?

Need someone to help organize the path forward?

Let me know what you’re working on and we’ll see if I’m the right fit.

I've spent the last 15 years working with clients as a personal trainer and coach helping them build healthy sustainable habits.

During this time I've learned the psychology of habit creation, the power of systems, and why simple works better.

I'd love to help you reach your goals.

I'm currently looking to add 2 new coaching clients to my roster.

If this sounds interesting to you, connect with me today and let's schedule a call to see if we're a good fit for each other.
