Are you making progress toward your goals and dreams?

Do you feel stuck?

Perhaps I can help.

I've spent the last 10 years working with clients as a personal trainer and coach helping them build healthy sustainable habits.

During this time I've learned the psychology of habit creation, as well as the art of developing a system to increase productivity.

I'd love to help you reach your goals.

I'm currently looking to add 2 new coaching clients to my roster.

  • Get Outside!

Spring is officially here in Ohio.

For the first time in months we had a full week of beautiful weather and sunshine.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't feeling the drag of winter.

It's always hard during the cold, gray, dark months.

But now that spring is here, it's time to get back outside.

I try to encourage people to maintain some outdoor presence during the winter months, but it's usually hard if you haven't created the habit.

Now's the time.

Enjoy the sun.

Get closer to nature.

Watch how your mood changes.

Mine has already shifted and it's only been a few days.

Imagine how much it will change in a few weeks.

We often underestimate the benefits of being outside.

This is something I didn't fully appreciate when I was younger.

Now, the older I get, the more I feel the changes that happen when I am stuck indoors.

To help combat this drop in energy there are a few things I will do next winter.

Most of which you can build the habit for now.

  • Exercise daily

  • Meditate

  • Spend time outside

Exercising daily is always easier in the summer.

We naturally become more active because we're outside more.

By being intentional about this new exercise habit we can maintain it once we're forced back inside.

Try to get at least 20 minutes of physical activity everyday if you're just starting out.

Meditation is a new activity for me.

However, I already see the benefits.

My mood is better when I meditate.

I'm more productive and focused.

Without my meditation practice the last part of this winter would have been a lot tougher.

Spending time outside is great in the summer.

Like I said earlier, we're naturally more inclined to be outside when it's nice.

But creating a habit of being outside now, and then trying to maintain it during the winter can change your life.

If you simply can't handle the cold.

Start to build a green space (using live plants) inside.

Then once a day sit in this space.

While it's always better to get outside, this little effort could prove to be helpful.

Hope everyone is having as good weather as we're having.

Build those greatness habits now, and watch how you maintain them into the coming winter.

  • Find Peace in Nature

One of my favorite things is to get outside.

I'm drawn particularly to sunrise and sunset.

I find peace in the calm.

When everyone else is sleeping or settling down for the night, I love watching the world change around me.

In this image I drove to the highest point in the Smokey Mountains.

I left my condo at 4:30a and drove through the winding roads.

When I got to the top I parked the car and stepped out into the cool morning air.

There was a light breeze, and I enjoyed the silence of the morning.

Whether sunrise or sunset I find my peace in these moments.

I'm alone with my thoughts.

I'm surrounded by beautiful landscapes.

In many instances there isn't another soul around.

I feel two things in these moments.

During my sunrise shoots it's the possibilities of a new day.

At sunset, it's about what tomorrow might bring.

I take a moment between shots to just fill my heart and mind with everything around me.

I can still remember everything about all of my shoots.

The hikes in, the crowds, the sounds and smells.

I can still feel like I'm there when I look at the images.

It is my peace.

It gives me incredible energy.

Have you found your peace?

Do you know what gives you energy?

How will you use the beauty around you to keep you going?

Find a way to energize yourself this summer.

Get out in nature!
